Mad Maine Vintage Shop

This little blog will chronicle my ventures into selling vintage items in a local antique market.
My booth is called Mad Maine Vintage Shop - it features items inspired by a certain popular TV show,
and I am located in lovely Maine. Viva Vintage!

A giant "Before" picture of new booth

HGTV - I have a project for you.

Yeah, I don't really know what to say except the "after" picture will hopefully be a whole lot different. I guess somebody just lost the urge to have an antique booth (a half empty water bottle was left on the shelf).  Foreshadowing?

I am pondering what to do with the walls between the shelves - not a fan of the brown paneling.  Paint? Also, that white wall is really grimy, so not sure if I should paint that as well.  I hate the carpet too.  Yeah, I pretty much would like a whole do-over before I move my stuff in, but time is not on my side.

How much did you prep your resell space before you moved in?

By the way, seeing this in another antique booth today made me feel old.  Total Eclipse of the Heart!

  1. Shut up! Holy crap that is going to be so cool! I'm excited for you and glad that that decision is our of your brain. Now onto making it a little more fabulous. What about for the floor finding some cool old carpet scraps and then using a fancy duct tape around the edges of your perimeter to keep them in place. That is what I have been mulling over for my booth. Congrats on the upgrade!!!

    1. I love the thought of using duct tape to hold a new carpet in place - thank you! Looking forward to seeing pics of your booth soon :-)
