Mad Maine Vintage Shop

This little blog will chronicle my ventures into selling vintage items in a local antique market.
My booth is called Mad Maine Vintage Shop - it features items inspired by a certain popular TV show,
and I am located in lovely Maine. Viva Vintage!

It's Not Easy Bein' Green

Here is another attempt to capitalize on quirky holidays.  At least I can appreciate St. Patrick's Day, what with its beer, cider, hardy food, fiddles and Irish folklore - and not to forget my Irish born-and-raised friends.  You know who you are.  Slainte!
(And sorry about trying to capitalize on your holiday. Fancy a tea towel?)

Looks just like every Irishwoman and man you know, right?  Minus the Guinness, of course.

I would put this tea towel in my own kitchen if I were Irish.  Not kidding.

Pulling all my Irish and green items together in one spot.  Blatant much?

Yep, pretty shameless.  But it IS a big useful tray.  And it helpfully points out what an Irish Pub looks like...

And a tea towel I would not put in my own kitchen, although hubby really liked all the crests.  And it is greener than anything I can see out my own window at the moment.

Also, this Irish list was shared by one of my emigrant Irish friends - it will make you feel nostalgic for Ireland even if you have never been there.  Seriously.

Do you decorate your booth for St. Patrick's Day?

  1. I did a shelf of green things! None of it "Irish" necessarily!

Is it bad that I bought Christmas placemats yesterday?

    1. Yes, a bit early, but we do not judge ;-) I actually almost bought a ceramic christmas tree with the little plastic bulbs yesterday, but took it out of my cart since I did not want to store it for 8 months. As soon as I put it back, somebody else grabbed it. And then I REALLY wanted it, of course. Feel free to judge.

    2. Is it the week for Christmas items..lol! I just bought a two tier holly leaf serving plate and a tray. With vintage goods it's hard to pass up items anytime of the year.

    1. It is really cute, and I kinda hope it sticks around - but I could not resist the Irish flag background...
