Mad Maine Vintage Shop

This little blog will chronicle my ventures into selling vintage items in a local antique market.
My booth is called Mad Maine Vintage Shop - it features items inspired by a certain popular TV show,
and I am located in lovely Maine. Viva Vintage!

Weekend Haul, no Yard Sales - but Goodwill came through!

Here is another haul video from last weekend.  I think I will get back to blogging more in the summer, but lately I have found that making youtube videos is a better avenue for me.  Looking forward to see what YOU all found last weekend!

If you have watched my other videos, you know that I am on a mission to save enough money to take my family of 4 to Norway in the fall by ONLY using money I earn from reselling.  Naturally that means that I pick up more and different things than usual and selling those online.  My heart and soul are still with my antique booth, but now I will pick up just about anything that can make me money for my trip.  Where are YOU hoping to travel this year?

  2. Love the Dansk enamelware! I've never found any at the thrifts before.
Good luck on your mission to fund your Norway trip! I hoping to travel to SF this summer to visit my sister.

  3. Hey girlfriend,

Just watched your trip haul video and you found a mezzaluna...Mezzaluna means "half moon" in Italian, after the curved shape of the blade, and is the most common name used in the UK. Other names used include herb chopper or hachoir, which is its French name.
You are so generous with your advice and tips...this summer, selling my stuff is my goal!
I have found the Goodwills in Maine have gotten pricey, compared to what the prices once were. Oh, well, I still enjoy going and usually can find something but the golden days of really inexpensive finds may be gone for good.
