This little blog will chronicle my ventures into selling vintage items in a local antique market. My booth is called Mad Maine Vintage Shop - it features items inspired by a certain popular TV show, and I am located in lovely Maine. Viva Vintage!

Honey, I found the car.
Storm update from Maine
Garages are for sissies.
Yesterday before the blizzard
My lovely view today.
Good thing I got my thrifting in on Thursday - read about that here.
I'm in Sanford and was talking to friends throughout the state. The sculptural quality is beautiful, interesting and will be a challenge to shovel. I'm not ready, since I have to clear a path to my old fashioned, wooden garage door that opens out onto the driveway to get the snow blower out. The weather people are predicting blue skies tomorrow, so I will wait till then to dig. The only downside to this day- I am out of half and half and only had one cup of coffee!
Ouch, that is the worst of all - running out of coffee essentials during a blizzard!!! Bless. I still have a hard time picturing blue skies tomorrow...
Woooah, I never see anything like that in Florida. It's hot down here, almost have to use the AC in the house midday. I'd like to experience a blizzard once, at least I can vicariously through this post...
My jaw just hit the floor! WWWWWHHOOOAAA!
ReplyDeleteSuch is winter life in Maine :-)

DeleteHey looks like my place. We got a bunch of snow too, loving it!
ReplyDeleteI love it sitting in front of my fire :-) As soon as the wind dies down, we will be out playing in the snow though!
DeleteI know, right?
ReplyDeleteThat makes my feet cold just looking at it! The weather here is in the 40's with not a tad of snow. I would like a tad...but not what y'all have!
ReplyDeleteHere our feet are covered in wool socks and slippers all winter. It helps :-)
DeleteWe are right in the middle of our blizzard now - not many cars are going by - which is a good thing. I guess we'll all be shovelling tomorrow.
ReplyDelete:)
Ugh, the showeling...definitely the worst part of snow!
DeleteYIKES!!! I would never survive in winter weather like that. :/ Stay safe and warm!!
ReplyDeleteAll you need is a good ol' wood stove and a hot cuppa :-)
DeleteHoly cow! I hope you're managing to stay warm inside! The pictures (including yours) I've seen from this storm are just amazing.
ReplyDeleteYes, we are as toasty as a bug in a rug. Hail to the wood stove :-)
DeleteMan I miss that kind of snow! Every once in a while a good blizzard is fun. Hope you guys are doing well and staying warm!
ReplyDeleteA good blizzard IS a lot of fun - the kids were in heaven the day after :-)
DeleteWe actually moved to Maine because we missed the snow...different strokes ;-)
